News DOD has identified remains of 41 soldiers returned from DPRK last year: reportDespite public commitment by Trump and Kim, repatriations of Korean War veterans’ remains have stopped since July 2018 The U.S. Department of Defense has now confirmed the identities of 41 Korean War veterans whose remains were returned from the DPRK last year, according to a report on Friday in Stars and Stripes, a newspaper focused on U.S. military affairs. The formerly unidentified soldiers were returned to the U.S. in July 2018, brought back to their home country among 55 boxes of remains as part of a commitment made between DPRK leader Kim Jong Un and U.S. President Donald Trump at the Singapore Summit. © Korea Risk Group.
