UN Population Fund wins sanctions exemptions to bring two cars into North Korea

Exemptions are second this month granted by the UN Security Council

A United Nations organization responsible for sexual and reproductive health was granted humanitarian sanctions exemptions for work in North Korea and may now bring two cars into the country, a UN Security Council (UNSC) panel announced on Wednesday.

The aid organization, the United Nations Population Fund, is expected to use the vehicles for humanitarian projects in the country, a letter uploaded to a UN website said.
