North Korean official regrets lack of progress in talks, but places hope in Trump

DPRK foreign ministry adviser says country unsure whether third summit will bring "new breakthrough"

A senior North Korean foreign ministry official on Friday said he is frustrated by the lack of progress in talks with the U.S. and continued demands for its unilateral disarmament, but will continue to place his hopes on President Donald Trump's "bold decision."

In a statement carried by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) adviser Kim Kye Gwan noted that talk of a potential third summit between the leaders of the U.S. and North Korea was "highly topical" at the moment.
