The worsening security situation on the Korean peninsula is having a negative impact on the human rights of North Koreans, two UN officials told the UN Security Council (UNSC) on Monday.
The comments were made by UN Assistant Secretary-General, Miroslav Jenča, and the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, during a briefing to the council on the situation in the country.
