Foreign advertisers, sponsors invited to North Korean sports fixture

Companies can raise "brand awareness" in DPRK, but ads must be not "in conflict with local customs"

Foreign companies are being offered the chance to sponsor this August's International Table Tennis Federation’s (ITTF) Pyongyang Open and to raise their "brand awareness" in North Korea, the event's organizer told NK News on Monday.

Paektu Cultural Exchange (PCE) NGO Director Michael Spavor told NK News on Monday that proceeds from sponsorship and advertising would go towards training and medical equipment for local paraplegic athletes.
