N. Korean cyber attacks targeting “critical infrastructure”, finance: U.S.

FBI and DHS say "Hidden Cobra" group is linked to Pyongyang

The U.S. government on Tuesday warned that a North Korean cyber attack group is targeting "media, aerospace, financial, and critical infrastructure sectors", in a rare alert issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The North Korean-linked group is referred to by the U.S. government as "Hidden Cobra", and has been involved in malicious activities since 2009 to "advance their government’s military and strategic objectives", the report says.
