IFRC slashes flood recovery appeal, revises support plan

Lack of external funding contributes to revised plan

The International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has almost halved its requested funding amount for continuing support in North Korea’s flood recovery efforts, the organization announced on Friday.

The amount requested for emergency operations was originally 15,199,723 Swiss Francs. It has now been lowered to 7,421,586, a drop of 48 percent.
