Floods in North Korea displace 44,000 – KCNA

Week long deluge in north-eastern regions causes widespread damage

Tens of thousands of North Koreans have lost their homes due to recent floods, according to a report from the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) published on Saturday.

Damage from a typhoon which struck the DPRK’s North Hamgyong Province and other northern regions resulted in damage to 17180 houses, with 44,000 people made homeless North Korean media said.
