N. Korea asks Ban Ki-moon to improve inter-Korean relations

The North claims it sent a letter to the UN Secretary General, asking for his participation

North Korea on Thursday published a letter that it claimed was sent to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon earlier in the week, calling for Ban's participation in improving inter-Korean relations.

In the letter Pyongyang said the UN chief could be “recorded in history” for his peace-building efforts on the Korean Peninsula.
