Former KIC workers to sue S.Korean government

Low expectations over government's compensation plans leads to decision to file collective lawsuit

Former workers and businesspersons from the Kaesong Industrial Complex (KIC) will file a joint lawsuit against the South Korean government in early June over financial losses they have suffered since Seoul's decision to close the KIC in February.

Their decision to sue the government came on the 100th day since the KIC closure and just before Seoul's announcement of a forthcoming plan to recuperate the financial losses of KIC workers.
