South Korean flights and vessels will be required to take detours so as not to pass through an area where North Korea's rocket’s propellants and payload fairing are expected to fall, the relevant ministries and airline companies announced on Wednesday.

According to a notification North Korea sent to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and International Maritime Organization (IMO), its Kwangmyongsong satellite's first stage propellant will fall on seas 80 miles from South Korea’s port city Gunsan and the fairing will fall down on the west side of Jeju island, to the south of the peninsula.
