Japan confronts N. Korea with missile shoot down order

Japanese official says attack on North's launch site has been weighed but not actively pursued

Japan's Defense Ministry announced its order on Wednesday to shoot down a North Korean rocket if it were confirmed to drop in or near Japanese territory.

The order is to deter North Korea's rocket launch, expected to take place this month, and is valid through February.
