N.Korean media: Families tell of ‘happy lives’ at reunions

S. Korean participants in previous reunion say relatives feared state monitoring, showed signs of hunger

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Tuesday reported on the family reunion currently underway, saying the participants from the North told their Southern counterparts of their happy lives under socialism.

The reunion meeting is currently underway at Mount Kumgang. After Tuesday’s group meeting and welcoming party, private meetings and a luncheon followed on Wednesday.
