Film to document efforts to rescue North Korean refugees

Fly-on-wall style documentary tracks rescue process and humanitarian who undertakes it

British filmmaker Matthew Halsall is in the process of completing a documentary on the work of Chun Ki-won, a South Korean pastor who has dedicated his life to rescuing North Korean refugees seeking asylum in the South.

The film, Durihana, is named after the Durihana Mission Chun founded and documents his work at the Seoul-based church of the same name, which involves fostering North Korean defectors in South Korea but also the process of facilitating their passage from China and Laos.
