N. Korean Ebola response harms reform efforts: NGO director

Strict measures, plus lack of coordination, consistent implementation hinders efforts to attract foreign investment

SEOUL — Ebola quarantine measures placed on foreigners by North Korean authorities will negatively affect its economy, an NGO official said in a conference Wednesday.

While recognizing North Korea's push for attracting outside investors, Chosun Exchange director Andray Abrahamian expressed concerns during his presentation on business opportunities in North Korea at the conference, hosted by the Institute for Far Eastern Studies.
