Younger N. Koreans increasingly sharing pictures, video between cellphones

Report says video and images, often influenced by S. Korean and Japanese culture, increasingly shared among younger generations

Younger North Koreans are increasingly using their cellphones to communicate with photos, video and other multimedia, the Tokyo-based Asia Press said last Friday.

Despite significant restrictions and surveillance on usage, Asia Press – which often reports from inside North Korea – said younger cellphone users are increasingly sharing multimedia files, with content often influenced distinctly from Japanese and South Korean culture.
