UNSC human rights discussions a pretext for war: KCNA

State media raises U.S. torture report, accuses Security Council of double standards

North Korean state media said on Tuesday that a resolution on its human rights situation to be brought before the UN Security Council (UNSC) had been engineered by the U.S. as a pretext for invasion.

The editorial also blamed the UNSC of ignoring recent scandals in the U.S. over torture and police brutality and becoming a “U.S. tool.”
