Moon: Obama lacks plan, qualified staff on N. Korea

South Korean president the only person who can change U.S. president's view, expert says

The United States displays no interest in North Korea under President Barack Obama, and the situation will only get worse if Hillary Clinton succeeds him, a South Korean expert told NK News.

Moon Chung-in, who served as chief architect for North Korea policy under President Roh Moo-hyun (2003-2008), also currently serves on the Presidential Committee on Unification Preparation (PCUP) set up by incumbent Park Geun-hye. Moon has nonetheless criticized Park’s approach to the North, saying that she fails at her stated goal of building trust.
