On a recent tour of Pyongyang and surrounding areas our group arranged a tour of the Korean People’s Army Museum. Tucked away behind the weightlifting sports complex in the Mangyongdae district of Pyongyang and adjacent to Kim Il Sung Military University, the complex is not accessed by large numbers of visitors and it is obviously not a museum in the traditional sense. Those in the museum were all members of the North Korean military, and even our guides with the Korea International Travel Company (KITC) had not been to it.
