North Korean “Victory Day” celebrations subdued compared to 2013

No major rallies or parades to mark 61st anniversary of armistice agreement

North Korea marked the 61st anniversary of the Korean War Armistice Agreement on Sunday with subdued celebrations compared to those in 2013.

A number of artdance and cultural performances were held to mark the “Victory Day” celebrations. Although Kim Jong Un attended a missile launch on July 26, there were no major events or rallies to mark the anniversary.
