N. Korea launches more Scud missiles

Two more short-range missiles fired after anniversary of Kim Il Sung’s death

North Korea launched two more short-range Scud missiles from its east coast early Wednesday morning, the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a  report by the Yonhap News Agency.

The missile launches, which took place around 4 a.m. and 4:20 a.m. Korean Standard Time, come the day after the 20th anniversary of the death of North Korean founding leader Kim Il Sung. The missiles reportedly were launched in a northeasterly direction at a range of about 500 kilometers, similar to the previous Scud launch.
