Russia and China issued a joint statement on Tuesday expressing their hopes for renewed efforts to resume six-party negotiations, peace on the Korean Peninsula and voicing concern over the lack of a resolution over the nuclear issue, according to the Russian news agency Interfax.
The statement was signed during high-level bilateral talks between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Shanghai, amidst The Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (Cica).
