The hidden threat behind North Korea’s peace offensive

Consequences of ignoring overtures suggested by rumors, simulations of raid on S. Korean territory

North Korea has been engaged in a “peace offensive” with Seoul as of late.

They have called for an end to hostile talk on both sides and requested that South Korea cancel the upcoming ROK-U.S. military exercises Foal Eagle and Key Resolve. North Korea initially rejected a proposal for family reunions after Lunar New Year due to the military exercises but has since agreed to hold them.
