N. Korea marks Yeonpyeong anniversary with threats to attack presidential palace

Expert says report "fully conveys the sheer nastiness of the DPRK"

The Korean People's Army is marking the third anniversary of the shelling of Yeonpyeong islands by claiming that future "reckless provocation" will be dealt with by an attack on South Korea's presidential palace, a statement released by state media said on Friday.

In a dramatic account of the shelling of the islands three years ago, the KCNA report described how the shelling of the small South Korean islands was a legitimate response to naval manoeuvres by South Korea.
