Park, Putin agree to promote Trans-Korea railway

Expert calls deal meaningless without Pyongyang's involvement

The South Korean government will encourage its companies to use the Trans-Korea railway when it is completed, the ROK and Russia agreed on Wednesday.

In a statement released to the press at Wednesday's meeting between Presidents Park Geun-hye and Vladimir Putin, the two countries agreed to promote the use of the railway by the two countries' companies.
