Pyongyang media reports confirm government-to-government talks

Korean governments due to meet Wednesday for two days of inter-Korean talks in Seoul

SEOUL – After over 17 hours of negotiation at a working-level meeting on Sunday morning, North and South Korea have decided to reconvene for two days of talks in Seoul this week and, in a rare move, a North Korean negotiation team will cross the otherwise impenetrable Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on Wednesday to reach the South Korean capital.

Lengthy negotiations on Sunday were unable to produce a more concrete agenda for the talks, nor was either side able to produce a joint post-negotiation statement, instead opting for separate press releases.
