If you are interested in seeing a movie of inspiration, a little comedy and a lot of drama, check out this documentary recently aired by North Korea Central TV. Unsurprisingly, its main character is new leader Kim Jong-un, third son of former leader Kim Jong-il. The documentary was released on January 8^th, the date believed to be Kim Jong-un’s birthday – a nice present, to be sure. It demonstrates the military bona fides of the DPRK’s newest supreme commander, showing him driving tanks, inspecting troops, and reading military literature. It also emphasises a certain level of cultural and technological competency, showing Kim to truly be a “genius among geniuses.”
