Dieter Schmitt is founder of East-West Business & Consulting (EWBC). Schmitt has more than 20 years experience dealing with DPRK, first in the 1990 when he lived in Pyongyang, spending two years working for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and thereafter working for the private sector organizing business missions like DHL Asia Pacific in 1992 and many other first-time missions (such as for the EU Chamber in Korea in 1996 and the EU-DPRK Matchmaking Seminar in Italy in 2007). Schmitt is based in Beijing.
