North Korea fired a ballistic missile toward the East Sea (Sea of Japan) on Saturday, according to South Korean and Japanese authorities. A ballistic missile launched from the Wonsan area of North Korea toward the East Sea was detected at around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said in a notice, adding that it flew at least 700 kilometers. Seoul and Washington are “conducting a detailed analysis to determine the missile’s exact specifications,” according to the JCS.
