North Korean leader Kim Jong Un attended an exhibition showcasing a large new stealth drone and other innovations in the country’s unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on Thursday, calling for “absolute superiority” in drone technology to meet the demands of modern warfare.

The “Unmanned Aeronautical Technology Development-2026” exhibition displayed various strategic and tactical multipurpose UAVs, suicide attack drones and other combat systems showcasing recent “achievements” in unmanned aviation technology, the ruling party newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported Friday.
