A major North Korean company is eyeing the construction of a meat-processing plant in the Kaluga region not far from Moscow, the local agricultural ministry announced Sunday, following a DPRK company’s tour of key Russian farming enterprises.

The visit by representatives of the DPRK’s Ragwon Corporation came months after the conglomerate filed a trademark application with Russian authorities seeking brand protection in the country.

Ragwon’s delegation, led by the firm’s director Kim Song Il, visited the Kaluga region on Nov. 26, according to the regional agricultural ministry’s press release on social media.
