North Korean aviation officials tour leading Russian drone training center

Expert says visit to university and aviation expo signals Pyongyang’s interest in producing military drones for export

North Korean aviation officials toured a leading Russian drone training center in what experts described as a bid to acquire technology for mass production of military unmanned aerial vehicles.

A delegation from the DPRK’s National Aviation Administration visited Russia from Feb. 3-11, touring Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation (MSTUCA) and taking part in a large-scale aviation expo, according to state media and a press release from the university.
