North Korea to open first modern general hospital in October after 5-year delay

Kim Jong Un praises ‘flawless’ Pyongyang General Hospital, which Russia may help furnish with medical equipment

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un toured the country’s first “modern” general hospital on Thursday and said it will open in October, according to state media, five years after his original deadline.

The Rodong Sinmun reported Friday that construction of the Pyongyang General Hospital has been “completed” and that Kim called the buildings “flawless,” but medical equipment still has not been installed.
