North Korean zoo launches English website in possible bid to attract tourists

New site promoting Pyongyang’s Central Zoo is rare addition to DPRK’s web presence amid gradual reopening to foreigners

North Korea has launched an English-language website promoting Pyongyang’s Central Zoo, apparently as part of efforts to promote the country’s tourist sites ahead of an anticipated reopening for Western visitors.

The new website (www[.]kza[.]org[.]kp) seemingly popped up unannounced last week and marks a rare addition to the DPRK’s limited online footprint.
