North Korean POW details orders for handling Ukrainian prisoners in new video

Release of new interrogation footage comes as Kyiv’s top diplomat holds up POWs as ‘proof’ of DPRK involvement in war

A North Korean prisoner of war has detailed how he was instructed to handle captured Ukrainian soldiers in a new video of his interrogation, as Kyiv’s top diplomat touts Ukraine’s success in providing “tangible proof” of Pyongyang’s involvement in the war.

In the footage released Tuesday by President Volodymyr Zelensky, the young North Korean soldier tells interrogators that DPRK commanders instructed troops deployed to Russia to release Ukrainian POWs if they indicated they were unwilling to continue fighting.
