North Korean leader’s sister appears with kids in state media for first time

Video clip of Kim Yo Jong with young boy and girl is likely part of propaganda effort to humanize regime officials

The North Korean leader’s sister Kim Yo Jong, best known for her insulting tirades against South Korea, has appeared with her children in state media for the first time, a likely effort to show a softer side of the combative royal, according to NK News analysis.

Korean Central Television (KCTV) on Wednesday prominently featured a video clip of Kim leading a young elementary school-aged boy and girl outside May Day Stadium before a New Year’s Eve concert, appearing to suggest they were her own children
