North Korea skips anti-Yoon propaganda in wake of martial law crisis

Newspaper doesn’t report by Tuesday on weekend protests in Seoul for first time in months, sign DPRK is watching fallout

Correction: Updated story and headline at 11:45 a.m. KST on Dec. 11 to clarify that state media only skipped protest coverage on Monday and Tuesday. The Rodong Sinmun made the unusual move to publish such coverage on Wednesday instead.

North Korean state media has skipped its usual Monday and Tuesday coverage of protests in South Korea against President Yoon Suk-yeol for only the third time in six months, despite a massive rally over the weekend demanding his impeachment for imposing martial law, according to NK News analysis.
