Measures target 11 individuals and 4 organizations linked to DPRK’s missile program and efforts to earn foreign currency

South Korea announced sanctions against 11 individuals and four organizations linked to North Korea's missile development program and foreign currency earnings operations on Friday, following Pyongyang’s launch of a new intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

The sanctions, set to take effect on Nov. 6, target former DPRK diplomatic and trade representatives in Mozambique, Senegal and Germany, as well as officials from the country’s National Insurance Corporation, the ROK foreign ministry said in a statement.
