‘Monstrous’ North Korean artillery spotted in Russia, likely for use in Ukraine

Photos suggest DPRK is supplying M-1989 Koksan self-propelled guns for war effort, supplementing troop deployments

A North Korean self-propelled gun has been spotted moving through central Russia, sparking concerns that Pyongyang is providing its most notorious long-range weapon to supplement troop deployments to fight against Ukraine.

Russian Telegram channel Voevoda Broadcasts (@ZOV_Voevoda) initially revealed a blurry and partial image of what appeared to be a North Korean-made 170mm “Koksan” self-propelled gun on Thursday.

“We have an ally who fulfills agreements, for which we are very grateful,” the channel stated, without providing any details about the weapon.
