NK News uncovers 11 more DPRK firms that laid groundwork to enter Russian market this year, including 2 last month

At least two more North Korean companies applied to register trademarks in Russia in September, official data shows, the latest in a flurry of applications that has revealed a concerted push to export food, medicines and textiles to the foreign market.

NK News analysis of Russia’s Federal Service For Intellectual Property (Rospatent) records also newly reveals that nine other DPRK entities applied for trademarks earlier in 2024, while the famous Taedonggang Brewery lodged two applications for its beer in 2023.
