North Korea publishes photos ‘confirming’ ROK drone violated Pyongyang airspace

State media claims technical analysis identified UAV as reconnaissance model used by South Korea's military

North Korea announced it secured evidence to confirm a South Korean drone violated its airspace earlier this month, releasing photos of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in state media on Saturday. The discovery of the UAV was made on Oct. 13 during a security sweep in Pyongyang, according to a statement from the country’s Ministry of Defense.

The statement asserts that technical analysis identified the drone as a reconnaissance model used by South Korea’s military, specifically linked to the country’s Drone Operations Command.
