Seoul police raid far-left political party over alleged support for North Korea

People’s Democracy Party says police cited security act violations for search and seizures targeting offices and homes

Seoul police raided offices and homes linked to a small far-left political party on Friday over suspicions of “connections with North Korea,” according to the group.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency carried out the search-and-seizure operation targeting members of the People's Democracy Party (PDP) early in the morning on Aug. 30, citing violations of Article 7 of the National Security Act (NSA), the PDP said in a statement.
