The leaders of the U.S., Australia, India and Japan condemned North Korea’s ongoing weapons development and military cooperation with partners on Saturday, but avoided direct mentions of Russia in apparent deference to New Delhi’s foreign policy priorities.
In a joint statement released by the White House following a weekend summit in Delaware, the four members of the Quad coalition reaffirmed their commitment to the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and urged the DPRK to “refrain from further provocations and engage in substantive dialogue.”
