Gen. Carsten Breuer cites risks of DPRK-Russia arms trade, ahead of Germany's participation in UN Command meeting

Germany's military chief emphasized the need for greater coordination with South Korea against threats from North Korea and Russia on Monday, as the European country prepares to participate in a ministerial meeting of the U.N. coalition overseeing the Korean War armistice for the first time.

During a press briefing in Seoul, Chief of Defense Gen. Carsten Breuer highlighted the interconnected nature of global threats as a factor in Berlin’s growing focus on the Indo-Pacific region.
