Russian power grid experts visit North Korea to discuss energy cooperation

Two sides reportedly touched on development of power industry in country with deteriorating electrical grid

A team of Russian electric grid specialists visited North Korea this week to “reset” economic relations, discussing cooperation in the electric power industry in one of the first Russian business missions to the country in years.

Representatives of Russian energy companies including Rosseti, ROS-Electro and the CHEAZ Group joined a Russian trade ministry delegation that arrived in Pyongyang on Monday, according to Forenergo, one of the companies whose representatives visited North Korea.
