North Korean divers tuck, twist and pike their way to Olympic silver

Jo Jin Mi and Kim Mi Rae win DPRK’s first-ever diving medal and second in Paris in synchronized 10m platform event

A pair of young North Koreans twisted and twirled through the air on their way to the country’s first-ever Olympic medal in diving on Wednesday, taking silver in the women's synchronized 10-meter platform event.

Jo Jin Mi and Kim Mi Rae scored 315.90 points across five dives at the Olympic Aquatics Centre to claim the DPRK’s second medal of the Paris Summer Games.
