Putin and Kim dine on duck liver and sip ginseng tea after signing new treaty

The banquet following the Russia-DPRK summit also featured traditional Korean dishes such as ‘guksu on a brass platter’

After attending a parade and signing a military pact, Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un enjoyed a lavish meal featuring lobster, duck liver and truffle, according to images posted by RIA Novosti news agency reporters covering Putin’s trip.

The banquet, which was held at the Mokran House in Pyongyang on Wednesday evening, was comprised of three courses with a fusion of flavors and culinary traditions, including some distinct Korean influences.
