The European Union has slapped sanctions on the governor of a Russian Far East region and a Russian transportation company over their alleged roles in facilitating arms trade with North Korea.
The new round of designations also targeted seven North Korean nationals and entities over breaches of U.N. sanctions and the country’s role in aiding Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the European Council announced in its decision on Friday.
