The South Korean military held large-scale drills with multiple branches to practice repelling a North Korean aerial infiltration on Tuesday, reflecting Hamas and Iran’s recent strikes against Israel to simulate scenarios in which the DPRK attacks with drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles.
The drills were the largest-ever of their kind in terms of the number of assets and forces deployed and were led by high-ranking officers from the ROK air force, army and navy, the air force operations command announced in a press release.
