A prominent North Korean defector-author has won a defamation lawsuit against another defector who accused him of sexual crimes and a South Korean broadcaster that reported her story, court documents reviewed by NK News show.
The Supreme Court last month upheld a ruling that required the defector Seung Sol-hyang and her husband, as well as the broadcaster MBC and its reporter, to collectively pay $29,000 (40 million won) plus interest to the author Jang Jin-sung.
